The friends of Deer Creek are growing. Monitoring the creek environment, conducting restoration projects, and conserving and protecting the 32 miles of the Deer Creek watershed is vital to the place we call home.
Deer Creek canyon provides places for meditative walks, excellent fisheries, and special swimming holes and lakes – places we want our children and generations to come to enjoy. However mercury, sewage, silt, and development are urgent threats requiring monitoring and restoration.
Your support for Deer Creek is vital to ensure quality scientific monitoring and to increase restoration project opportunities. We are asking you to become a FRIEND and join with other supporters in investing in a core component of Nevada City – our beautiful watershed.
